The Capita Group Plc announces that it has been reselected by Bexley Council as
preferred partner to administer and collect the Council's revenues and benefits
services. The contract, which is worth up to £50 million over a ten-year period
with an option for an additional three years, will begin in February 2006.

Capita, which has been working with the Council since 1996, was awarded the
contract following a rigorous procurement process involving a shortlist of two
other suppliers. Under the contract, the Council proposes to increase home
visits, provide additional support for local social landlords and enhance
processing times. Capita will continue to deliver its services for the Council
from Erith Town Hall in Bexley.

Councillor John Browning, Cabinet Member for Corporate Resources at Bexley
Council, said, 'We are very pleased to be extending our partnership with Capita
who are a well established provider in this market. Our ambition is to improve
the quality of life of all the people in Bexley. A strong council like ours,
working with our partners including Capita, will not only be able to deliver on
this aim, but ensure good value for money for our residents.'
