Christmas Update

Flying Flowers Ld
12 January 2000

                   FLYING FLOWERS LIMITED
                      CHRISTMAS UPDATE

Database sales of the Flying Flowers postal pack division
for the period from 30 October 1999 to 24 December 1999 were
11% below the level in the equivalent period in 1998.
However, in the previous 43 weeks of 1999, sales had been
only 1% below the 1998 figures and consequently database
sales for the year were 5% below 1998. We believe that this
decline is due to a number of factors and research of the
customers who ordered in previous years but did not order in
1999, is being carried out.

The new call centre at Kelvedon, which was opened in
November, and the upgrading of our computer systems, will
significantly improve sales and customer service, which have
been deficient at peak period in prior years. This
successful investment coupled with a drive to improve
product quality will, we believe, address the key issues
involved. The response achieved from advertising and by
mailing the names acquired from Direct Garden Supplies was
above forecast.

The performance from the rest of the Group's businesses has
been in line with that anticipated at the time of the
Group's interim statement. As expected the performance of
the collectables division has shown a significant
improvement over that achieved in the first half year.
