In-Room Internet Service from Mitel Meets Web Access Demands of Business

* Mitel, Elastic Networks and Everest Broadband Networks team up to offer
one-stop Web service to hospitality industry

Mitel Communications Systems, a division of Mitel Corporation (NYSE/TSE:MLT),
is introducing with Elastic Networks and Everest Broadband Networks a complete
one-stop solution for delivering high-speed Internet access and Web-based
services to hotel guest rooms and conference rooms. The in-room Internet
service is available through Mitel's extensive network of Value Added
Resellers (VARs) throughout North America.

'By teaming with Elastic Networks and Everest Broadband Networks, we are
offering hotels one source for a complete solution that meets the demands of
business travelers for Web access,' said Ken Dumont, vice president,
marketing, Mitel Communications Systems. 'We are eliminating the need for
separate sourcing by providing both the Internet access infrastructure and the
Internet Service Provider (ISP).'

With Mitel's plug-and-play service, hotels can gain new revenues by offering
their guests high-speed Internet access over the existing copper wire
infrastructure, utilizing Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) technology. Business
and leisure travelers will enjoy easy access to Web-based applications,
including information sources, messaging, corporate email, and hotel services
and amenities.

Mitel's VARs, working with Everest Broadband Networks and Elastic Networks,
provide all elements of the solution, including on-premises equipment, ISP
connectivity and service, '24x7' customer care, marketing support, and
portal/web page design.

Offering a one-stop Internet solution is part of Mitel's strategy to provide a
complete range of communications systems and solutions to the hospitality
industry. Properties that offer access to the Internet -- now an essential
business tool -- will have a competitive advantage in capturing a greater
share of the business traveler market.
