Lucy Neville-Rolfe CMG joined the board of ITV as a non-executive director on Friday, September 3, 2010.

Lucy is Director (Corporate and Legal Affairs) of Tesco Plc and has a long track record of achievement in business and Government. Prior to joining Tesco in 1997, she held a number of senior positions in Government departments including the Prime Minister's Policy Unit in 10 Downing Street , BIS, the Cabinet Office and DEFRA .

At Tesco her responsibilities include Government, Legal, Pensions, Internal and External Communications, Investor Relations, Insurance and Claims, International Corporate and Legal Affairs, Community and competition matters.

Archie Norman, Chairman of ITV plc, said:

"We have embarked on a journey to transform ITV over the next five years which not only requires a strategic change of direction but also changes to ITV's management, culture and organisation. As part of this process we set out to create a lean, high calibre board, and Lucy brings to ITV a unique combination of consumer and governmental experience as well as sheer intellectual calibre. Lucy Neville-Rolfe, CMG, was appointed Director (Corporate and Legal Affairs) of Tesco Plc on 14 December 2006. Since she joined Tesco it has moved from its core UK grocery roots into non-food, services and 13 overseas markets from the Far East to the United States.

Lucy joined Tesco in 1997 as Group Director of Corporate Affairs and from 2004 - 2006 was also Company Secretary.

Until 1997 she worked in a number of Government departments. She was a member of the Prime Minister's Policy Unit in 10 Downing Street from 1992 - 1994 where her responsibilities included home and legal affairs. She was Director of the Deregulation Unit, first in BIS (then DTI) and afterwards in the Cabinet Office from 1995 - 1997. She started her career in DEFRA (then MAFF) where her roles included Private Secretary to the Minister, early greening of the department and the Food Safety Act 1990.

Lucy is Chairman of Dobbies Garden Centres, Deputy Chairman of the British Retail Consortium, a member of the China Britain and UK India Business Councils and of the Coalition Government's Efficiency Board and a Director of the Carbon Trust.

Lucy was awarded the CMG in the Queen's Birthday Honours 2005 in recognition of her contribution as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. She read Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Somerville College, Oxford where she is an Honorary Fellow. She is married with 4 sons.

Since Archie Norman's appointment as Chairman of ITV, the ITV board has undergone substantial rationalisation with the retirement of eight directors and the appointment of Adam Crozier as Chief Executive. Following Lucy's appointment it will consist of the Chairman, two Executive Directors, and four Non Executive Directors.
