Taylor Nelson Sofres plc (TNS) has received, on 16 March 2007, correspondence
from Zurich Financial Services (Zurich) which indicates that following the
implementation of the Transparency Directive, under which obligations to notify
are triggered by control over the exercise of voting rights rather than
beneficial interests in share capital, Zurich was no longer required to inform
TNS of its interests in the voting rights of TNS from 20 January 2007.
The correspondence specifically stated that on 2 March 2007, Zurich sent TNS a
notification describing an indirect holding of shares in TNS which they had
subsequently been advised was not required.
