Gains were realised for the hydrogen power specialists ITM this morning following news that the company had secured a 12.5MW deal with Octopus Energy Generation. The containerised project will produce green hydrogen for the manufacture of Andrex products, showcasing ITM’s capabilities when it comes to green energy solutions in hard to electrify parts of the UK. The ITM share price was 4% higher in early trade.
News of a placing knocked the stock of publisher and hospitality business Time Out this morning. The company is raising £8m at a price of 8p per share, to fund expansion into new markets, technology investments and also to bolster working capital. The Time Out share price dropped more than 20% at the open but is currently still trading at around a 10% premium to the offer price.
Electrical retailer Currys issued interim results this morning, with the company heralding a continued strong performance. Pre-tax profits were up 144%, revenues continue to gain momentum and full year guidance is maintained. That was sufficient to fire up market enthusiasm for the stock, with the Currys share price adding as much as 10% in the first few minutes of trade.
