Het Net to become free Internet Service Provider
As of 9 am on Monday 20 September, Het Net will provide Internet access for
users without requiring subscription and registration fees, making it a
so-called free access provider. All facilities now provided by Het Net will
remain in place, including a personal e-mail box (POP3), a personal homepage,
the facility for making a personal start page, news groups, net calling, net
faxing and a professional helpdesk (NLG 1 per minute).
With this comprehensive range of services, Het Net will enable users to discover
the advantages and convenience of the Internet.
Subscribers to Het Net will be reimbursed for the subscription fees they have
paid since 25 June 1999. They will be informed of this.
Customers can register on-line for Het Net at its home page(www.hetnet.nl).
They can also collect the free CD ROM at a Primafoon shop.
Het Net is offered by Videotex Nederland, a wholly-owned subsidiary of KPN.
Apart from Het Net, Videotex Nederland markets the brand names Planet Internet
and Planet Internet Professional.
