JULY 2023 TRAFFIC AND CO2 EMISSION STATISTICS

WIZZ AIR CARRIED 6.0 MILLION PASSENGERS, AN INCREASE OF 27% YEAR-ON-YEAR

Geneva, 2 August 2023: Wizz Air Holdings Plc ("Wizz Air"), the fastest growing and one of the most sustainable European airlines, today announces passenger and CO₂ emission statistics for July 2023.

In July 2023, Wizz Air carried 6,028,939 passengers, representing a 26.6% increase compared to July 2022, at a load factor of 94.9%.

Wizz Air continued to grow its network and improve its customer offering in July, including:

·      Wizz Air Abu Dhabi launched its latest route to Erbil, the capital city of the Kurdistan region of Iraq. The new route reaffirms the airline's commitment to ultra-low-cost travel in the region and unlocks travel opportunities for both residents and travelers in the UAE;

·      Wizz Air announced the addition of a new aircraft to its fleet at London Luton Airport. The new Airbus A321neo takes Wizz Air's total number of aircraft at London Luton to 12;

·      Wizz Air launched WIZZ Discount Club Light, a new loyalty programme that offers customers exclusive in-flight discounts. The programme provides a range of offers, including special on-board coupons and promotions for the WIZZ Café and Boutique;

·      Wizz Air consistently reports the lowest CO₂ emissions per passenger/km among all competitor airlines, with 52.2 grams per passenger/km for the rolling 12 months to 31 July 2023. For the month of July, CO₂ emissions were 50.7 grams per passenger/km (6.8% lower than the same month last year).
