Change of Company Secretary
Rio Tinto announces that Ben Mathews has been appointed Company Secretary in
place of Anette Lawless, with effect from 1 August 2007. Ben Mathews was
formerly Company Secretary of BG Group plc and has previously held appointments
at National Grid Group plc, British American Tobacco plc and
PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Anette Lawless has retired as Company Secretary of Rio Tinto plc and as
Assistant Secretary of Rio Tinto Limited. This was announced at both Annual
General Meetings in April 2007.
