TRANSACTION IN OWN SHARES

 

 

The Company announces that on 7 September 2021 it purchased through UBS AG London Branch the following number of its ordinary shares of 10p each ("Shares") for cancellation at an average price of 950.06p per Share:

 

Number of Shares purchased and subsequently cancelled:

100,000

Highest purchase price paid per Share:

960.80p

Lowest purchase price paid per Share:

939.40p

 

Following the above transaction, the Company holds 5,567,555 Shares in treasury and 594,246,306 Shares in issue (excluding those held as treasury shares). This figure (594,246,306) represents the total voting rights in the Company and may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they can determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
