Audit Tender

The Board announces that the Company's audit for the year ending 31 May 2019 will be put out to tender. As noted in the Report of the Audit Committee contained in the Annual Report 2017, legislation requires the Company to put the audit out to tender for the 2021 year end. However, the Board, on the recommendation of the Audit Committee, has agreed that the timing of the tender be brought forward as the audit for the year ending 31 May 2018 will be the fifth year for the current audit partner after which partners are required to rotate. 

The Board noted the percentage of votes against the re-appointment of PwC at the AGM held on 5 October 2017 being 20.58%. Given the timing of the tender next year, further details of which will be announced in the Annual Report 2018, the Board does not anticipate this will be a recurring issue.
