On 11 April 2002, Holidaybreak plc received notification from Threadneedle
Asset Management Limited whose registered office is 60 St Mary Axe, London,
EC3A 8JQ, of a change in their Notifiable Interest over the shares of
Holidaybreak plc.

This arises from a corporate re-organisation within the Zurich Financial
Services Group such that at 8 April 2002 Zurich Scudder Investments, Inc.
ceased to be a member of the Zurich Financial Services Group and that they are
no longer required to disclose any interests in shares on its behalf.

There have not been any transactions in Holidaybreak shares that would
otherwise have required a notification.
