                             Director Shareholding


In order to satisfy institutional demand, Richard Wood, Chief Executive, today
exercised options over 89,800 ordinary shares of 10 pence each ('Ordinary
Shares') at a price of 175 pence per Ordinary Share, and 89,800 Ordinary Shares
were today sold on behalf of Richard Wood at 482.5 pence per Ordinary Share.

Richard Wood's direct shareholding now stands at 59,400 Ordinary Shares which 
represents 0.1% of issued share capital of the Company which is currently 
55,844,730 Ordinary Shares. In addition, he remains the beneficial owner of
482,884 options and conditional shares.
