AIM quoted Empyrean Energy PLC has received notifications in regards to capital
holdings in the company as follows:

The Company was notified today, pursuant to the provisions of the Companies Act
1985, that both David and Sarah Bartley on 12 April 2006, no longer held a 
notifiable interest in ordinary shares of 0.2p each of the Company.

The Company was notified today, pursuant to the provisions of the Companies Act
1985, that both Michael and Kate Frayne on 12 April 2006, no longer had a 
notifiable interest in ordinary shares of 0.2p each of the Company.

The Company was notified on 7 February 2006 pursuant to the provisions of the 
Companies Act 1985, that Rubicon Master Fund no longer held a notifiable 
interest in ordinary shares of 0.2p each of the Company.

The Company was notified on 10 March 2006 that Majadie Investments Plc now hold
1,241,429 ordinary shares of 0.2p each, representing 3.26% of the issued share 
capital of the Company.

The Company was notified on 9 March 2006 that JP Morgan Chase & Co and its 
subsidiary companies recently acquired a further 1,085,350 ordinary shares of 
0.2p each, such that it now hold 3,785,350 ordinary shares of 0.2p each
representing 10.8% of the issued share capital of the Company.
