Big Yellow Group plc ("Company") announces that it was informed today that
following the sale of 215,000 ordinary shares on 8th July 2003, Henderson Global
Investors Limited and its fellow subsidiaries, acting as agent for its
discretionary clients, now hold (either directly or indirectly) 18,087,534
shares in the Company which represents 17.88% of the issued share capital.
