Balfour Beatty plc ('the Company') today received notice that Diageo Pension
Trust Limited have a notifiable interest in the ordinary share capital of the
Company comprising 12,756,997 ordinary shares ('the Shares'), representing
3.04% of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company. The Company has
been informed that the Shares are held for pensions investment purposes only.
