PURCHASE OF SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
Schroder UK Growth Fund plc announces that on 15 May 2000, the Company purchased
32,127 shares for cancellation, at an average price of 147.75 pence per share.
Following the purchase, there are a further 207,207,724 shares in issue.
