PURCHASE OF SHARES FOR CANCELLATION
Schroder UK Growth Fund plc announces that on 14 October 1999, the Company
purchased 112,700 shares for cancellation, at an average price of 141.80 pence
per share. Following the purchases, there are a further 223,128,870 shares in
issue.
