following a sale yesterday of 518,704 ordinary 25p stock units on behalf of
Standard Life Group, the total material interest of Standard Life Group in the
stock of The Alliance Trust PLC has decreased to 1,739,553 ordinary 25p stock
units, being 3.451% of the issued stock of that class and which is registered in
the name of Stanlife Nominees Limited.
