                  Smurfit Kappa Group plc ('SKG' or the 'Group') today announced that it will
discuss financial performance for the quarter ended 31 March, 2007 and issue a
trading update in respect of a four month period ended 30 April, 2007 at 12.00
BST (07.00 ET) on 25 May, 2007.

SKG will host a conference call for institutional investors and analysts on that
