                            NEW BOARD APPOINTMENT

Edinburgh, UK:  Orbital Software Holdings plc ('Orbital') is today pleased to
announce the appointment of John Swan, as Chief Financial Officer, who joins
the Board with immediate effect.

John Swan (44) qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte Haskins &
Sells, where he worked between 1980 and 1984.  Following this, John held a
number of finance functions with Transfleet Services Limited before leaving to
hold senior positions with Adobe Systems Europe and Polaroid between 1989 and

During his time at Adobe Systems Europe Limited ('Adobe') between 1989 - 1999,
John was financial controller with day to day responsibility for financial
control and procedures of a business with turnover in excess of $250m in the
year he departed.  He also ran the pan-European treasury and credit control
for the business, which at that time had 200 customers, spread over 40
countries.   After Adobe, John was Finance Manager at Polaroid International
Business Centre, between 1999 and 2001.

In addition, Ian Bruce (40) has been appointed as VP of Customer Support.
Ian, who has over 9 years experience in customer support management, joins
Orbital from Edinburgh-based TelesensKSCL (formerly Kingston SCL) where he
held the position of Customer Support Manager.
