Geneva, 2 October 2026: Wizz Air Holdings Plc ("Wizz Air") reports passenger growth of 24% year-on-year in September 2026.

Wizz Air carried 7.78 million passengers in September, an increase of 24.2% year-on-year, with capacity rising 25.3% to 8.46 million seats. The load factor for the month was 92.0%, down 0.8ppts year-over-year, although this in part reflected a stronger pricing environment, with a notable improvement seen in the month compared to earlier periods.

Recent events of note:

  • Wizz Air’s Capital Markets Day highlighted new medium term targets. Wizz Air’s CEO, József Váradi, highlighted the airline’s medium term targets for F30 at the company’s Capital Markets Day, held on September 17. These F30 targets included revenues of EUR 10bn, an Ex-Fuel CASK of EUR 3.00 cents, an EBIT margin of 10% and a return to an investment grade balance sheet. József Váradi added that ‘‘By F30, we intend to operate an all-neo fleet of 335 aircraft, carry 127 million passengers and deliver sustainable, industry-leading margins.”

  • Nearer-term comments highlighted a better than expected pricing environment. No guidance for the full year 2027 was given at the Capital Markets Day, however, Wizz Air updated its guidance on RASK, stating that on the back of a stronger than expected summer revenue performance, Q2 RASK guidance was being changed to flat YoY, from “down low single digits” previously. Additionally, reflecting geopolitical and fuel price volatilities, the company confirmed that it had trimmed its originally planned H2 capacity by 5%.
