As previously disclosed in the Annual Report and Financial Statements for the year ended 31 July 2025 for Schroder Japan Trust plc (the "Company"), Angus Macpherson retired as a Director of the Company at the board meeting held on 14 July 2026.

 

Angus served on the Board for six years. His experience and wise counsel, as well as his commitment and dedication to the Company's success, were invaluable and the Board wishes him well. Following Angus' retirement, Helena Coles will be appointed as both the Senior Independent Director of the Company and Chair of the Management Engagement Committee.

 

The Company has engaged an independent search firm to assist with the identification and recruitment of a replacement Non-Executive Director.
