Peabody announces departure of Chief Operating Officer
Peabody today announces that Elly Hoult, Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Chief Executive, will be leaving the organisation in March 2027 to take up a new role as CEO at Lifestone Homes.
Since joining Peabody in 2023, Elly has played an instrumental role in successfully integrating Catalyst and Peabody. Working with a strong leadership team, Elly has been focusing on improving services, with a strong focus on strengthening Peabody's local approach and bringing teams together to deliver better outcomes for residents.
Elly said: "It's been a real privilege to work with so many talented and committed people at Peabody. I'm particularly proud of the brilliant team we've built and the progress we're making to transform our services, put residents at the heart of what we do and strengthen how we work locally.
"There's still plenty to do, and my focus between now and March will be on continuing that work and ensuring a smooth handover. I know Peabody is in excellent hands under the leadership of Ian and Caroline, with the support of the Board and a fantastic team of colleagues. I'll miss the people enormously and will follow Peabody's progress with great interest."
Ian McDermott, Chief Executive of Peabody, said:
"Elly has made a significant contribution to Peabody, helping us improve services for residents and build stronger connections with the communities we serve. She has been a tremendous ambassador for Peabody and for housing as a rewarding career, inspiring colleagues and championing the next generation of talent. I'd like to thank her personally for her leadership, energy and commitment, and know she will go on to be a great CEO."
