Lifestone Homes appoints new Chief Executive Officer

Lifestone Homes is pleased to announce the appointment of Elly Hoult as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Elly, who is currently Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Chief Executive at Peabody, will start her new role on 1 April 2027.

Lifestone Homes, which was formed through the merger of Paradigm Housing Group and Settle Group, manages more than 31,000 homes, mainly across Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.

Chair of the Board Richard Moriarty said: "The appointment of Elly marks an exciting new chapter for Lifestone Homes. As we continue to unite our strengths and capabilities following our merger, we have a unique opportunity to make a real difference for our residents, communities and colleagues.

"Elly impressed the Board with her clear vision for the future, exceptional leadership skills and passion for making a meaningful difference through social housing. Her extensive experience and ability to inspire high-performing teams made her the standout candidate in a very strong field.

"I'd like to thank Nicola Ewen for the dedication and outstanding leadership she has shown as Acting CEO while Matthew Bailes recovers his health fully. I am delighted that she will continue to play a pivotal role as Deputy CEO and Chief Financial Officer, providing continuity, insight and experience as we embark on the next phase of Lifestone Homes' journey as a financially strong organisation, continuing to improve the services we provide to residents and developing more affordable homes.

"I'd also like to thank Matthew for his huge contribution and wish him well when he steps down next March."

Elly, who was previously President of the Chartered Institute of Housing, said: "Having grown up in a council house, I know how transformative a good home can be, providing the foundation for a better future. I'm excited to be joining Lifestone Homes at this time.

"The merger has created scale, financial strength and the capacity to invest in homes and communities. The next chapter is about building on those foundations and making an even greater difference for residents. I'm really looking forward to getting started and helping to establish Lifestone as one of the highest-performing housing associations in the country."
