Kier Group plc ("Kier", the "Company", or the "Group") announces that, during the period Monday 17 August 2026 to Friday 21 August 2026, it purchased the following number of its Ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") from Deutsche Bank AG, London Branch ("Deutsche Numis") as part of the buyback programme announced on 3 March 2026 (the "Buyback Programme").

Kier intends to hold the Ordinary Shares purchased pursuant to the Buyback Programme in Treasury. Following the settlement of the above purchases, Kier has purchased a total of 5,913,654 Ordinary Shares since the commencement of the Buyback Programme and will have 452,875,390 Ordinary Shares of 1 pence each in issue. 16,722,122 Ordinary Shares are held in treasury. The figure 452,875,390 represents the total number of voting rights in Kier and can be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they can determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or change to their interest in, the Company under the Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.

In accordance with Article 5(1)(b) of Regulation (EU) No 596/2014 (as such Regulation has become part of domestic law by virtue of and for the purposes of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (as amended by the European Union (Withdrawal Agreement) Act 2020) and as such Regulation has been amended in such form by any regulations made under that Act), a schedule of the individual trades made by Deutsche Numis as part of the Buyback Programme is attached to this announcement.
