Filtronic selected by major European defence prime for initial phase of new technology programme

Demonstrating long-term customer confidence in Filtronic's high-performance technology for the defence market

Filtronic plc (AIM: FTC), the designer and manufacturer of advanced RF solutions for the space, aerospace and defence, and telecoms infrastructure markets, has secured a new contract from an existing customer. This order extends the Company's engagement into an additional business unit of a major European defence prime. The contract, scheduled for delivery in FY2027, has an initial value of £0.4m, with expected volume production following in the future.

The contract is for the design, development and delivery of a new wide-bandwidth solution. The technology will be produced at Filtronic's newly opened secure, automated microelectronics facility in Sedgefield, which is purpose-built to enable efficient, high-volume manufacture of complex RF modules for mission-critical, next-generation defence applications.
