Airborne Survey Commences at Paterson, WA

Summary by AI BETAClose X

Cloudbreak Discovery Plc has commenced a district-scale airborne MobileMT geophysical survey across its 888km² Paterson Project in Western Australia, targeting copper-gold-molybdenum mineralisation. The survey, covering 2,771 line-km, is designed to map deep resistivity beneath cover and is partially funded by a A$219,270 Western Australian Government Exploration Incentive Scheme grant for 2,148 line-km, with Cloudbreak funding an additional 623 line-km. This initiative aims to refine exploration targets by integrating new data with existing geological and geophysical information, building on historical drilling results at the Wanderer Prospect which showed significant copper, gold, and molybdenum grades.

Airborne Survey Commences at Paterson, WA

District-scale MobileMT survey underway targeting copper-gold-molybdenum mineralisation and associated precious and base metals

Cloudbreak Discovery Plc (LSE: CDL), a London Stock Exchange Main Market-listed mineral exploration company, is pleased to announce the commencement of a district-scale airborne Mobile Magnetotelluric ("MobileMT") geophysical survey across its Paterson Project in Western Australia.

The Paterson Project comprises approximately 888km² of granted exploration tenure in the highly prospective Paterson Province, located approximately 40km south-west of the Telfer Gold-Copper Mine and approximately 60km south-west of the Havieron Gold-Copper Project.

Highlights

•       District-scale airborne MobileMT survey now underway, covering approximately 2,771 line-km across the Paterson Project.

•       The survey is designed to provide regional-scale deep resistivity mapping beneath extensive cover and overburden, helping to identify geological and structural features potentially associated with concealed mineralisation.

•       Approximately 2,148 line-km of the programme is supported by a Western Australian Government Exploration Incentive Scheme ("EIS") grant of A$219,270, representing 50% of the relevant survey cost.

•       Cloudbreak is funding a further 623 line-km of survey at its own cost, extending coverage to the north-west of the EIS-funded programme.

•       The survey is designed to test the Paterson Project for copper-gold-molybdenum mineralisation and associated precious and base metals, building on historical exploration results and modern geophysical interpretation.

•       Survey acquisition and interpretation is being undertaken by Expert Geophysics Limited and Southern Geoscience Consultants.

•       The resulting resistivity dataset will be integrated with existing magnetic, gravity, geological and geochemical information to refine and prioritise targets for follow-up exploration and potential drilling.

Paterson Project

The Paterson Project is located within the highly prospective Paterson Province of Western Australia, an established mineral district hosting major copper and gold deposits.

Historical exploration at the Project, principally focused on copper, identified significant copper, gold and molybdenum mineralisation at the Wanderer Prospect. Historical drilling included:

•       17m at 1.6% Cu and 317ppm Mo from 84m, including 9m at 2.6% Cu and 456ppm Mo;

•       9m at 2.0% Cu, 0.14g/t Au and 272ppm Mo from 84m, including 5m at 3.1% Cu, 0.20g/t Au and 430ppm Mo;

•       11m at 1.5% Cu, 0.10g/t Au and 181ppm Mo from 83m, including 7m at 2.1% Cu, 0.15g/t Au and 250ppm Mo;

•       13m at 1.1% Cu and 0.29g/t Au from 107m, including 6m at 2.0% Cu and 0.27g/t Au; and

•       8m at 0.7% Cu and 310ppm Mo from 98m, including 1m at 3.3% Cu, 0.22g/t Au and 560ppm Mo.

The Wanderer Prospect is characterised by extensive iron-oxide alteration over more than 1km of strike, with copper-gold-molybdenum geochemical associations that may be indicative of an intrusive-related mineralising system.

Historical drilling was undertaken more than 35 years ago and the majority of the Project remains untested by modern exploration techniques. Multiple geophysical targets identified from previous work, including targets associated with magnetic lows and gravity highs, remain untested.

The MobileMT survey is therefore intended to provide an additional and potentially powerful geophysical layer to assist Cloudbreak in understanding the geological architecture of the Project and identifying concealed targets.

MobileMT Survey

MobileMT is an airborne electromagnetic and magnetotelluric technology that measures variations in naturally occurring electromagnetic signals to map subsurface resistivity across a broad range of frequencies.

The technology is particularly suited to large areas of prospective terrain where mineralised systems may be concealed beneath cover. The survey is expected to provide Cloudbreak with a regional three-dimensional resistivity dataset that can be integrated with existing geophysical, geological and geochemical information.

The Company expects this integrated approach to assist in identifying areas of geological and structural interest and in ranking targets for ground-based investigation and, where warranted, future drilling.

Field Operations

Cloudbreak is utilising the established field camp operated by Rincon Resources Limited at its Hasties Gold-Copper Project as an operational base for the survey contractor.

Cloudbreak is also working alongside Wishbone Gold Plc, whose exploration activities are being supported from the same camp.

The use of existing infrastructure in the region is expected to provide logistical efficiencies and support the safe and efficient execution of the programme. Cloudbreak appreciates the cooperation and support of both Rincon Resources and Wishbone Gold in facilitating the field programme.

Managing Director's Comment

Tom Evans, Managing Director of Cloudbreak Discovery, commented:

"The commencement of the MobileMT survey at Paterson is an important milestone for Cloudbreak and represents a significant district-scale geophysical programme across the Project.

The Paterson Province is one of Australia's most prospective copper and gold regions, and our Project is located in close proximity to the Telfer and Havieron deposits. Historical drilling at Wanderer has already demonstrated significant copper, gold and molybdenum mineralisation, but much of the Project remains effectively untested by modern exploration techniques.

MobileMT gives us the opportunity to look beneath the extensive cover and develop a much more comprehensive understanding of the geological and structural architecture of the Project. By combining this new dataset with the existing magnetic, gravity, geological and geochemical information, we expect to be able to significantly refine and prioritise the Company's exploration targets.

We are pleased to have the survey now underway and look forward to receiving the initial results, which we expect will help us identify and prioritise targets for follow-up exploration and potential drilling."
