BT GROUP PLC ANNOUNCES OUTCOME OF AUDIT TENDER

BT Group plc ("BT") today announces that, following the conclusion of the formal tender process for the role of statutory auditor, it intends to appoint Ernst & Young LLP ("EY") as its external auditor for the financial year ending 31 March 2029. The appointment will be subject to shareholder approval at BT's 2028 Annual General Meeting.

The selection of EY has been approved by the BT Board and follows an extensive competitive tender process, which was overseen by the Audit & Risk Committee. The audit tender was conducted as a result of the requirement for public interest entities to undertake an audit tender at least every ten years.

KPMG LLP ("KPMG"), BT's current auditor, will continue in its role as external auditor for the financial years ending 31 March 2027 and 31 March 2028, the latter subject to shareholder approval. The Board would like to thank KPMG for its significant and continuing contribution as BT's auditor.

Further details of the audit tender process and selection criteria will be provided in BT's 2027 Annual Report and Accounts.
