Potential 300MWp Solar Project

Summary by AI BETAClose X

ATOME PLC has announced a significant development for its renewable power division, ATOME POWER, with an agreement for a multilateral development bank's dollar fund to provide financial and technical support for a feasibility study. This study will assess the implementation of a projected 300MWp solar PV project near the Villeta green fertiliser plant in Paraguay, contingent on ATOME Paraguay resolving its Power Purchase Agreement. The company views this as a crucial step towards establishing an industrial park centered on solar and battery storage, leveraging the potential new industries and trades generated by its green fertiliser facility.

Potential 300MWp Solar Project

ATOME (AIM: ATOM), provides an update on ATOME POWER, the Company's renewable power and battery storage solutions division.

ATOME is pleased to report that it has entered into an agreement with a multilateral development bank's dollar fund pursuant to which the fund has agreed to provide financial and technical support to develop, subject to certain terms and conditions, a feasibility study for the implementation of ATOME's projected 300MWp solar PV project located in close proximity to the Villeta green fertiliser plant in Villeta, Paraguay where it has access to substantial areas of land for such solar development.

Subject to ATOME Paraguay moving forward with the relevant Power Purchase Agreement, ATOME Power will proceed forthwith with the feasibility study and is encouraged by the prospect of creating an industrial park with solar and battery storage at its core capitalising on all the associated new industry and trades which ATOME's green fertiliser facility would generate.

The Company will provide a further update on ATOME Power's project once ATOME Paraguay's position is resolved.
