Third Quarter 2026 Update

Summary by AI BETAClose X

Angus Energy PLC reported third quarter 2026 results, with estimated revenues of £6.60 million, impacted by planned maintenance shutdowns at Saltfleetby and Brockham which reduced gas sales to 5.09 million therms and oil production to 3,704 barrels. Despite lower production volumes, gas pricing remained strong, and the company made significant progress on debt reduction, completing a £3.9 million cash sweep and a £1.20 million principal repayment, reducing outstanding borrowings to £21.5 million. Preparations for a BRX4Z workover at Brockham are advancing, with mobilisation expected in early November.

Third Quarter 2026 Production, Operations, Corporate and Finance Update

  • Planned annual maintenance programmes successfully completed at Saltfleetby and Brockham, with Saltfleetby works delivering improved performance from key gas processing equipment.
  • Saltfleetby production of 467 million standard cubic feet of natural gas and 8,281 barrels of gas condensate during the quarter, with production reflecting the planned annual maintenance shutdown and subsurface data acquisition programme.
  • Gas sales of 5.09 million therms achieved during the quarter.
  • Estimated quarterly revenues of £6.60 million, reflecting continued strong pricing but with production volumes impacted by the planned maintenance shutdowns at Saltfleetby and Brockham.
  • Continued strong progress on debt reduction, with both the first cash sweep (total £3.9m) and a further scheduled principal repayment completed during the period.
  • A £1.95 million cash sweep payment and a separate scheduled principal repayment of £1.20 million reduced outstanding borrowings under the Group's senior debt facility due to Trafigura to £21.5 million at 30 September 2026.
  • ORRI Cash Amount of £1.95 million repaid in full, with future cash sweeps now directed entirely towards reducing the Trafigura facility further.
  • Preparations for the BRX4Z workover at Brockham well advanced, with the rig secured, all long-lead items ordered, and mobilisation expected in early November.

Production and Operations Update

Saltfleetby

Gas sales from the Saltfleetby Field totalled 5.09 million therms during July, August and September 2026, compared with 5.85 million therms in Q2 2026. As previously announced, production during the quarter was impacted by the planned annual maintenance shutdown in July and subsurface data acquisition activities on two of the three producing wells, which together resulted in approximately 10 days of lost production.

The annual maintenance programme was successfully completed without harm to people or the environment and included plant modifications which have delivered improved performance from key gas processing equipment.

Average monthly gas sales for the quarter were 1.70 million therms, down from 1.95 million therms in Q2 2026. Gas condensate production averaged 90 barrels per day, compared to 113 barrels per day in the previous quarter. Operational efficiency was 78% (Q2 2026: 91%), primarily reflecting approximately 10 days of lost production associated with the planned annual maintenance shutdown and subsurface data acquisition activities during July.

Saltfleetby Planned Maintenance

During July the planned annual maintenance shutdown was successfully delivered without harm to people or the environment. Subsurface data logging equipment was successfully installed and recovered from two of the producing wells during July. Maintenance work and plant modifications carried out during the annual shutdown were successful in delivering improved performance from key gas processing equipment.

Brockham

Total oil production from the Brockham Field for the quarter was 3,704 barrels, equating to an average production rate of 40 barrels per day, slightly reduced from the previous quarter (Q2 2026: 4,027 barrels; 44 barrels per day). Operational efficiency was 91% (Q2 2026: 100%). A planned maintenance intervention during July was the cause of reduced production and reduced operational efficiency during the quarter.

The Company has secured the rig for the workover programme and all long-lead items required for the operation have been ordered. The rig is currently deployed elsewhere and is expected to mobilise to Brockham in early November. Operations at BRX4Z are expected to take approximately three weeks to complete.

The workover is designed to bring BRX4Z onto production from the Portland reservoir, providing the potential for an additional producing well at Brockham and increased production from the Company’s existing asset base

Finance Update

Estimated revenues for the quarter were £6.60 million (Q2 2026: £7.16 million), with the approximately 8% quarter-on-quarter reduction driven primarily by lower production volumes resulting from the planned annual maintenance shutdowns at Saltfleetby and Brockham. Gas pricing remained supportive during the quarter.

The Group continued to make strong progress with its debt reduction strategy during the quarter, through both scheduled principal repayments and the additional cash sweep mechanism introduced as part of the amended financing arrangements.

During the quarter, the Company completed its first cash sweep and subsequently made a further scheduled principal repayment of £1.20 million at the end of September. As a result, outstanding borrowings under the Group's senior debt facility with Trafigura had reduced to £21.5 million as at 30 September 2026, compared with £24.7 million at 30 June 2026.

The £1.95 million ORRI Cash Amount was also repaid in full during the quarter. With this liability now eliminated, future cash sweep proceeds will be directed entirely towards further reducing the outstanding Trafigura facility, alongside scheduled principal repayments. The next cash sweep is scheduled for the end of December 2026.

Carlos Fernandes, Finance Director, commented: “We are pleased with the progress made in executing our strategy to reduce the Group’s debt position while continuing to grow our organic production portfolio. Alongside the significant debt reduction achieved during the quarter, we are advancing the planned BRX4Z workover at Brockham and the development of the fourth production well at Saltfleetby.”
