TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES

Amlin plc (“Amlin”) announces that on 2 March 2010 it transferred from treasury to participants in its employee share option scheme(s), the following numbers of its ordinary shares of 28.125 pence each (“ordinary shares”):

4,128 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 146.49 pence per share;

161,609 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 161.77 pence per share;

4,442 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 266.00 pence per share; and

30,644 ordinary shares at an exercise price of 293.00 pence per share

Following the above transfer of shares out of treasury, Amlin holds a total of 6,961,163 of its ordinary shares in treasury and has 495,114,843 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
