B. P. Marsh (AIM: BPM), a niche venture capital provider to early stage financial services businesses, announces today that Robert King has resigned as a Director, Group Company Secretary and employee of B.P. Marsh with immediate effect.


The remaining Directors of B.P. Marsh wish to thank Robert for the significant contribution he has made since he joined the Company in 2003, and wish him every success for the future. 


Sinead O'Haire has been appointed as Group Company Secretary with immediate effect. Sinead has been working alongside Robert since March 2009, following graduation from the University of Wales, Swansea with a degree in Law and the subsequent completion of the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, Birmingham.

Over the past 20 years, the Company has assembled a management team with considerable experience both in the financial services sector and in managing private equity investments. Many of the directors have worked with each other in previous roles, and all have worked with each other for at least four years.


Prior to Brian Marsh's involvement in the Company, he spent many years in insurance broking and underwriting in Lloyd's as well as the London and overseas market. He has over 30 years' experience in building, buying and selling financial services businesses, particularly in the insurance sector.


Jonathan Newman is the Group Director of Finance and has over 13 years' experience in the financial services industry. Jonathan advises investee companies through several non-executive board appointments and evaluates new investment opportunities.


Daniel Topping is an Investment Director at B. P. Marsh, having joined the Group in 2007. He currently holds four non-executive board appointments and is a member of the Investment and New Business Committees. Having graduated from Durham University he previously worked for a London based accountancy firm. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (MCSI) and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ACIS).


Camilla Kenyon was appointed as Head of Investor Relations at B. P. Marsh in February 2009, having four years of prior experience with the Company. Since then she has also been appointed as Head of the New Business Department and chairs the New Business Committee. Camilla has a background in media and public relations, is a qualified journalist (National Council for the Training of Journalists) and holds a Certificate in Investor Relations and she currently has two nominee appointments.
