Events Update

Ten Alps PLC 22 January 2007 Ten Alps Plc - Events update Ten Alps Plc ('Ten Alps' or 'the Company') reports growth in its events operations and their integration with the group's online internet video activities. Sales since October 2006 have been strong in both delegate registrations and sponsorships for the 12 conferences created by Ten Alps for 2007 calendar year. These annually repeatable events include conferences focussed on topics such as Integrated Transport, Public Sector Project Management and Urban Regeneration. Ten Alps considers sales from these first events to confirm potential within the 46,000-strong advertiser base for events growth. The events development and sales teams are being expanded within Ten Alps' Manchester office and extra conferences are now being added for the 2007-8 financial year. Events will be based around analysis of niches across 350 trade titles which Ten Alps already publishes. In addition events production work commissioned by commercial clients has grown, with work for BP, Corus, Metro, Dr Marten's, EMI and others delivered since October 2006. The Company has also opened a small events unit in Amman, Jordan, aiming at promising leads in a possibly under-exploited Middle Eastern corporate market, with costs easily covered within current budgets. Ten Alps already sells advertising across a number of titles and websites targeting this region, such as its 'Trading Guide To Near and Middle East' and its 'Gulf Spotlight' product. Ten Alps sees further potential for growth, visibility and synergy in events. They exploit existing TV programming and publishing niches, give advertisers direct client contact, generate online content and advertising opportunities and as a result open up potential additional revenue streams for Ten Alps. Meanwhile Ten Alps' conferences, and some run outside the group, are being filmed for the database of available material on Ten Alps' beta-version Public TV website. Data-based clips can be viewed at www.public.tv in the conferences section. Ten Alps intends to sell sponsorship opportunities around the content, adding editorial and commercial longevity to the specialised conferences created. Progress in the group's growing online activities will be separately updated this month.
