Transaction in own shares

The Company has received several requests for clarification on the announcement yesterday, concerning the sale of 2,000,000 WPP ordinary treasury shares. 

These shares were sold on the last trading day possible,  in connection with the re-domicile of the Company from the United Kingdom to Ireland and the subsequent issue of new ordinary shares in WPP plc due to take place on 19 November. 

 An equal number of treasury shares will be purchased once the new shares are listed. There will be no further transactions of a similar nature.
