Allotment of Ordinary Shares


FINSBURY WORLDWIDE PHARMACEUTICAL TRUST PLC (the 'Company') announces the
allotment of 101,082 Ordinary shares of 25p each fully paid.

These shares were issued today at a price of 578.00p per share, which equates to
a premium to the estimated net asset value at the time of transaction of 1.7%.

The net asset value (fully diluted) per Ordinary share at the close of business
on 24 February 2006 was 567.23p per share.

The total issued share capital of the Company is now 57,422,150 Ordinary shares
of 25p each and 10,806,098 Warrants to subscribe for Ordinary shares.
