                         Allotment of Ordinary Shares





FINSBURY WORLDWIDE PHARMACEUTICAL TRUST PLC (the 'Company') announces the
allotment of 150,000 Ordinary shares of 25p each fully paid.



These shares were issued today at a price of 548.5p per share, which equates to
a premium to the estimated net asset value at the time of transaction of 2.4%.



The net asset value (fully diluted) per Ordinary share at the close of business
on 18 April 2006 was 536.08p per share.



The total issued share capital of the Company is now 57,572,150 Ordinary shares
of 25p each and 10,806,098 Warrants to subscribe for Ordinary shares.
