Result of AGM/Re Change to Board of Directors

At the Whitbread PLC AGM held earlier today, all resolutions as contained in the
Notice of Meeting were passed.

At the end of the meeting, Sir Michael Angus retired as chairman and a director.
He is succeeded by Sir John Banham as chairman.

Martin Broughton also retired from the board following the meeting.
