J D Wetherspoon has today been advised by The Capital Group Companies, Inc on
behalf of its affiliates, including Capital Guardian Trust Company, Capital
International Limited, Capital International, Inc and Capital Research and
Management Company that it has a notifiable interest in 25,424,332 Ordinary
shares in the Company, which represents 12.05% of the issued ordinary share
capital.
