J D Wetherspoon has been advised on 14 June 2001 that Morley Fund Management
Limited (a subsidiary of CGNU plc) and CGNU plc are now interested in
16,717,535 ordinary shares in the Company representing 7.92% of J D
Wetherspoon's issued ordinary share capital.
