Senior Management Appointment

Volex Group plc, the global partner for customised electrical and optical interconnect solutions, is delighted to announce the appointment, effective 16^th May 2011, of Ms Linda Starr as Global Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.  Linda replaces Jeff Bierman who is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities.

Linda, who is based out of North America, brings more than 25 years' experience leading international sales and marketing efforts at global technology and executive services companies.  Prior to joining Volex, Linda served as Corporate Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing and Chief Sales Strategist for AMD (Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.).  During her tenure, AMD achieved record revenues and margins together with market shares of up to 80% in certain global markets.  Before AMD, Linda held similar roles and enjoyed notable successes at other technology and manufacturing concerns such as NEC Technologies and Visioneer.  Linda also spent time as Managing Director of Heidrick and Struggles, a leading provider of executive search and support services to some of the most well known global names in the spheres of Technology, Finance and Entertainment.
