Vodafone AirTouch Plc (the 'Company') 

In accordance with Section 329 of the Companies Act 1985, I have to inform you
that today Mr Christopher Charles Gent, a director of this Company, exercised
an option to acquire 532,000 ordinary shares of US$0.10 each in this Company
at 48.3p per share through his participation in the Vodafone Group Share
Option Scheme. Mr Gent has an interest, including unexercised share options,
in 3,806,550 ordinary shares of US$0.10 each in this Company.
