Result of EGM for Share Buyback Authority

VinaCapital Vietnam Opportunity Fund Limited ("VOF" or "the Company") announces that at an Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders ("EGM") held on 25 October 2011, the ordinary resolution to grant the board of directors an ongoing share buyback authority was duly passed.

The share buyback authority will facilitate the return of capital and income to shareholders and assist the Company in seeking to reduce any discounts which may arise between the quoted price of the ordinary shares and the applicable net asset value per ordinary share.
