VinaCapital Vietnam Opportunity Fund Limited (the "Company") announces that Don Lam, Director of the Company, purchased 50,000 ordinary shares of US$1.00 each ("Ordinary Shares") at an average price of US$1.65 per Ordinary Share. The purchase was made on Wednesday, 20 January 2010.

As a result of this transaction, Mr Lam is directly interested in 955,859 Ordinary Shares and indirectly interested in 235,342 Ordinary Shares (his direct and indirect interests together representing 0.367 percent of the Company's total voting rights).  For more information please contact:
