VALUE AND INCOME TRUST PLC ('VIT' or 'the Company')

The Company announces that Angela Lascelles resigned as a Director on 31 March
2007 and is replaced by Matthew Oakeshott, who is appointed a Director on 1
April 2007.

Matthew Oakeshott and Angela Lascelles remain VIT's Investment Managers as they
have been since 1986.

In accordance with paragraph 9.6.13 (1) of the Financial Services Authority's
Listing Rules, Matthew Oakeshott has confirmed that he is not currently a
director of any other publicly quoted companies except Audax Properties PLC, a
wholly-owned subsidiary of VIT and has been a director of VIT within the last
five years.

In accordance with paragraph 9.6.13 (2) - (6) of the Financial Services
Authority's Listing Rules there are no disclosures to be made. Mr Oakeshott is
interested in 4,039,860 of VIT's ordinary shares.
