UniVision(AIM; UVEL), the Hong Kong based group whose principal activities are the supply, design, installation and maintenance of closed circuit television and surveillance systems, and the sale of security related products, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a new contract by the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department of Hong Kong Government with a total value of HK$10.96m (approx. £898,500. on the basis of the current prevailing exchange rate) over a period of 6 months.
The new contract is for supply and installation of Closed Circuit Television Systems ("CCTV") and Data Network at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal which is a major new infrastructure project of the Hong Kong Government.
Stephen Koo, Chairman of UniVision commented, "The quality of our service and reputation within the surveillance market has enabled us to win this contract. The contract clearly demonstrates that our service meets the high performance criteria of Hong Kong Government."
For the year ended 31 March 2012, the Company's turnover in this sector was £7.4 million.
