Director's interest in shares and share options

Bruce Jeffrey Salkin joined the Board of Directors of United Overseas Group Plc
('the Company') on 1 November.

Mr Salkin holds 1,123,044 ordinary shares of 10 pence each in the Company.

Mr Salkin also has options over 200,000 ordinary shares of 10 pence each under
the United Overseas Group Plc Unapproved Employee Share Option Scheme. The
exercise price of the options is 106.25 pence per share.
