Electra Private Equity PLC announces that on 29 March 2006 the Company purchased
for cancellation 325,000 ordinary shares of 25p each at a price of £13.00 per
share representing 0.79% of the issued share capital.


Following this transaction the Company now has 40,722,687 ordinary shares in
issue.
