Electra Private Equity Plc announces that on 23 November 2007 the Company
purchased 50,000 of its own ordinary shares of 25p each for cancellation
representing 0.13% of the issued share capital at a price of £16.38 per share.

Following this transaction the Company now has 37,202,687 ordinary shares of 
25p each in issue.
