Electra Private Equity Plc announces that on 6 December 2007 the Company
purchased 92,000 of its own ordinary shares of 25p each for cancellation
representing 0.25% of the issued share capital at a price of £16.40 per share.



Following this transaction the Company now has 36,750,687 ordinary shares of 25p
each in issue.
